The husband-wife duo, Astha-Pradeep, are young Dhrupad Vocalists of the Dagar tradition. They have performed at various reputed concerts in India. On various occasions their performances have been broadcasted on Doordarshan and the Radio. They both are receiving Junior fellowship from CCRT. They are Graded Artist of (AIR) Radio.
Astha-Pradeep started their initial training in Indian classical music with Pt. Chandrashekhar Tiwari and Pt. Chandrashekhar Khanwalkar.
Their keen interest in Indian classical music led them towards Dhrupad music, which is considered to be the purest form of the Indian classical music. They pursued their advanced Dhrupad vocal training with the famous Indian Dhrupad vocalist Padmashree Gundecha Brothers in the Guru-shishya tradition.
